Another new month and another new casino! I’m putting the new Sapphire Rooms under my microscope. Sapphire Rooms is the latest new creation by Nektan Gaming. The keener eyed among you may remember that this indie casino brand had launched Chomp Casino in July 2014. Few months later, they’ve rolled out a more sophisticated gaming site titled Sapphire Rooms. Aesthetically, Sapphire Rooms sports very different aesthetics from Chomp’s perky pink and green. Under the hood, you’ll find the same reliable gaming engine and the great bonuses (the best bits!) More details below:

Each slot is bedecked with appropriate artwork and background music, ensuring a complete gaming experience. The games at Sapphire Rooms are designed for mobile devices. Simply visit the site on your iPad, iPhone or Android smartphone, and play its games within your Internet browser.
You won’t find these games anywhere else either, as these games are produced in-house by Nektan Gaming. Although they are unique, they are independently tested by NMi, a test lab approved by the UK Gambling Commission. You can check these certifications for yourself – RNG Test Report by NMi UK indicating that the random number generator produces acceptably random results, as well as game engine reports and payout reports assuring you that the games are fair. In overall, the casino has an average return to player of 95.3% on its slots games and 94.62 on its table games.
Sapphire Rooms takes cues from its wildly-successful predecessor, Chomp. First of all, it offers £5 Welcome Bonus to all new players. This bonus is automatically credited to your account when you register. Then, you’ll get up to £500 bonuses on your first three deposits:
- 200% Match on your first deposit, up to £50
- 100% Match on your second deposit, up to £200
- 50% Match on your third deposit, up to £250
However, you may want to rethink the free fiver. Upon studying the terms and conditions, I learnt that the £5 sign up bonus is tied to 100x wagering requirements and £25 capped winnings. In other words, you’ll have to wager more than £500 before you can withdraw any winnings. Other bonuses are more lenient, with a wagering requirement of 50x.
Players are continuously rewarded at Sapphire Rooms. There are promotions every day, as well as on special occasions and festivities as well. At the time of writing, these are the ongoing promotions:
- 25% Match on Golden Commute – Get extra if you play on your way to work (7.30 to 9.30am and 5.00 to 7.30pm)
- 10% Cashback on Tuesdays – Bolster your losses with automatic cashback
- 50% Bonus for Black Friday Sale and £50 Cashback for Thanksgiving
- £45 Bonus at their Christmas Party
Sapphire Rooms also run a great VIP program. It’s invitation only, based around how frequently you play, but it comes with a whole host of great rewards. This includes priority withdrawals, extra bonuses, and personal account managers.
The casino accepts payments via credit and debit Cards (including Visa, Electron, Mastercard, Maestro and Solo), as well as Skrill, Ukash and via Phone Bill. It is painfully clear that players are not presented with many options, but the basics methods are covered. There is a minimum deposit of £10 and there are no transaction costs. All transactions are also secured with industry-standard technology.
Another important aspect in assessing a mobile casino’s health is how a casino handles withdrawals. At Sapphire Rooms, the team processes credit card and debit card withdrawals within 72 hours and Skrill withdrawals instantly. (Psst… besides instant withdrawals, Skrill provides special bonuses, multi-currency account management and complete security. We explain more about Skrill here.) Players can request withdrawals in amounts over £10 and log one request a day. These are sensible rules for both player and casino, as transactions cost money to process.

It’s a gem, but not a precious one
If I had to find a fault, it’s that Sapphire Rooms lacks a little character. The décor is “luxe”, but it isn’t dripping with exclusivity. The games are fun, but they are not as special as others you may find in the market. It’s got great customer service and fair promotions, but who doesn’t? It may be a little hard to differentiate Sapphire Rooms from its competitors. I just wish that they had exploited its sparkly brand a little more and provided a gaming experience like no other.
On its own, Sapphire Rooms provides a high-quality mobile entertainment. The casino is designed for tablet and smartphone users, and so, every page loads quickly and responds well to pudgy fingers. The bonuses attract a large crowd too, but you’ll play all of its 20 games pretty quickly. The wagering requirements are also a little steep, and for that, Sapphire Rooms gets three stars from us.
