As we’ve recently released our brand new Blackjack category at Droid Slots, we’d thought we’d also fill you in with a little extra information about the popular game. In this article you can learn more about the history of blackjack, the different types of blackjack available to play online, how to play the game, and what mobile deposit methods you can now use to play.
A Brief History
The origins of blackjack are often heavily debated, although historians do agree on the fact that the game was most likely invented in Europe. Two games, the Spanish Veintiuna, and the French Vingt-et-Un, show considerable similarities with the game we know today and were both around as early as the 16th Century.
When the game spread to North America, however, casino players weren’t interested as they found it boring and believed the payouts weren’t worthwhile. To gain their interest back, casinos offered bonus payouts including a 10 to 1 payout to any player that achieved a 21-point hand which included a Black Jack or the Ace of Spades. This hand was dubbed a’blackjack’ and, whilst this kind of payout isn’t generally offered anymore, the name stuck!
How to Play
Blackjack is a relatively simple game. The objective of the game is to collect a hand of cards that is worth a higher value than that of the dealer, without breaking a total of 21. Breaking 21 is known as “busting” and results in an immediate loss. It’s important to remember here then that the aim is not to reach 21 but more importantly, to beat the dealer.
Whilst the game is simple, the art of winning is a bit more complicated. There’s tons of different strategies to test out and there’s different moves a player can use to their advantage. Luckily for you, here at Droid Slot’s we’ve got you covered, so browse some of our videos to learn more.
