Microgaming has received the Guinness World Record title for the ‘largest jackpot payout in an online slot machine game’. The record was set back on the 6th October 2015, when Jon Heywood won €17,879,645.12 from a 25 cents bet on Microgaming’s Mega Moolah progressive jackpot slot at Betway Casino. At the annual ICE Totally Gaming conference, an event focused on the international gaming industry, Microgaming received a joint world record with Betway and Mr Heywood. They all received their Guinness World Record certificates from official Guinness adjudicators.

Lucky player Jon Heywood, won a staggering 52 million times his bet. When interviewed at the event, he said “It’s been a few months since the win, but I still can’t quite believe I won such a life-changing amount! And to officially become a Guinness World Records title holder is the icing on the cake.”
It was clear he was making the most of it when he added, “With my winnings I’ve enjoyed some nice holidays, bought a new car, ensured my family are looked after and invested wisely for the future”.
