Big news from two of our favourite mobile casinos: net week will see the launch of two brand new and exclusive slots, one at Mr Spin casino and one at PocketWin casino. If you know anything about these casinos, you’ll know their games are all tailor-made in-house, and therefore cannot be played anywhere else. Though details of the games are still relatively thin on the ground, we know their titles, have some exclusive screenshots to show you and can tell you that they’re both set to launch next Monday (19th December). Let’s explore!
Reel Totem Slots at Mr Spin
Mr Spin casino only launched this year, and given that the task of creating brand new and original games is pretty labour intensive and time consuming, it makes sense that its roster of games is still on the small side. It’s really making progress, though, and the list of playable slots is growing (notably with the recent additions of Meet the Draculas and Arabian Nights).
The next game to join the pack will be Reel Totem, a Native American themed slot which looks to combine the look of the old west with Mr Spin’s trademark cartoon aesthetic.
As with the vast majority of slots from InTouch Games (the developer behind all the games at Mr Spin, PocketWin and mFortune), Reel Totem feature 5 reels and up to 15 adjustable paylines. The base game has the reels between two totem poles set against a desert scene, and has two little characters – one a Native American, the other a Confederate soldier fighting it out at the bottom of the screen, while the game boasts at least one bonus round where you match totem symbols for multipliers.
The whole Native American theme may have been done to death on mobile slots already, but it looks like Mr Spin is breathing new life into it in the most inventive and enjoyable way.
Silver Shamrock Slots at PocketWin
Speaking of themes that just won’t die, the slot that PocketWin is treating us to next week boast possibly the most clichéd mobile slots theme of all time – the Irish Shamrock, replete with leprechauns, pots of gold and wishing wells. It’ll be interesting to see whether such a game can peak the interest of players at PocketWin, and whether it can gain any traction without being overshadowed by the objectively more interesting recent release at the same casino of the Wintastic Beasts slot.
Just like its cousin joining Mr Spin, Silver Shamrock has 5 reels and 15 adjustable paylines. While the Reel Totem slot seems to genuinely bring something new and fresh to a tired theme, I’m sorry to say that from the initial glimpse we have of Silver Shamrock, it pretty much just looks like every other Irish themed slot I’ve ever seen before.
One element that looks potentially intriguing is the bonus game in which you’re able to recover a pot of gold from a well to determine your multiplier for the previous spin, but it’s yet to be seen whether this feature will make the game worth playing. Look out for Reel Totem Slots hitting Mr Spin and Silver Shamrock Slots hitting PocketWin on Monday 19th December.
