Microgaming has come out with a new slot based around Chinese Cuisine — Win Sum Dim Sum Mobile Slot. We must say this is a pretty original concept and a nice twist on the oriental theme. Though it’s a little weird that it’s based specifically on the dumpling of the same name. But is it really that different from their other slots? Read on to find out.
A medium-risk game, Win Sum has a solid base game operating on a fairly basic-looking reel. Visually, there’s not much to get excited about but the game has many features such as:
- 5×3 Reel
- 15 Free Spins
- Wild symbols
- Winnings up to 1,222x your stake
- Re-trigger Feature
With the free spins, players can increase their winnings to 1,222x their stake up to 3,333x their stake which are extraordinarily high odds. The re-trigger feature also allows you to re-use those free spins increasing the stake even higher. Which is just as well, considering the criticism the game has received.
Despite the game’s very generous outputs and overall competent gameplay, some pretty harsh criticisms have arisen from other websites reviewing the game. We may write our own in due course but the major complaint we’ve heard is this game is visually unappealing.
The maroon background has often been labelled ugly and the graphics “dated”. Many have taken this to mean that Microgaming has done absolutely nothing to make this game unique besides the title and theme. Even the theme is just a variation in an already saturated market.
We can not endorse these criticisms since this isn’t a review. When we do review, it however, we’ll let you all know what we think.
Already a powerhouse software developer with plans to break into the virtual reality market, Microgaming is a company based in the Isle of Man and have been churning out games since 1994.
It seems strange how a company that has been in the business for long could produce an apparently unoriginal game but that’s people’s opinions for you. So long as players enjoy it, that’s the most important thing.
