IGT have already revealed their August slot release, the medieval themed Medieval Money. An explicit release date within August hasn’t been listed yet, but thanks to a recent gameplay trailer, we at least know what to expect when it arrives.
We’ll take a look at the gameplay sneak peak and see what IGT has up their sleeves to grab our attention next month. You can find Medieval Money over at IGT powered casinos such as LadyLucks, from release day.
Medieval Money Slot Feature Overview
- 5×3 reel slot with 20 paylines
- 4 bonus features triggered by single bonus round
- Bet range: £0.20 – £600
- Jackpot: £1,000
Multiple Choice Bonus Round
Although there is only one way to trigger a bonus round within the slot, by spinning 3 scatter symbols, there is actually 4 bonus features in total within Medieval Money.
Once the bonus round has been triggered, players are given 9 bullseye targets which hide a total of 4 different bonus features. The player picks one at random and then has to play it. The bonus round isn’t re-triggerable during any of these features and players must activate another bonus round in order to access one of the other features.
The features that make up Medieval Money are:
Joust – Players are given 7 free spins and play the slot as they would usually do. This time around, players can also spin 2 joust symbols of a red and blue knight who start on opposite sides of the slot. Once triggered, the 2 knights run at each other and then a winner is randomly selected. If the blue knight wins, then players receive a big bonus.
Spell Picker – Players are given 5 potion bottles which are brought out in front of them one after another. Each potion is worth a bonus cash prize, but players only know how much the last potion bottle they saw is worth. They must decide whether or not to accept or reject each cash prize. The round ends once they accept a potion prize, or have only 1 potion bottle left.
Money Bag Picker – Money bag picker is similar in style to spell picker, but differs in how you go about selecting your cash prize. Instead of being presented with options individually and knowing their worth, money bag picker puts 3 random bags in front of you and asks you to pick one. It’s only when you pick one, that you find out how much it was worth and what you lost out on.
Dragon Path Bonus – In a board game style bonus game, players have to spin a wheel made up of the numbers 1 -3 and some skulls. If players land on a skull, they lose the game immediately. If they land on a number, then they make their way up the board that number of times.
Along their route, players must avoid obstacles and land on safe squares that reward players with a multiplier and let them have another roll. The round ends when they either get killed or reach the end and receive a massive multiplier bonus.
Play Medieval Money This August
Medieval Money is hitting the casino floors next month and with the bonus rounds on offer, we can’t help but be interested.
Our one reservation, which applies to multi bonus rounds in general, is that it is frustrating that we might never get to enjoy all the bonus rounds on offer. There’s nothing stopping us spinning the scatter symbols a million times and not experiencing all of the spin off bonus features.
Aside from that, it looks like a strong release from IGT. It’s possibly not enough to carry the whole month, but hopefully we can expect this to take us through to September, to enjoy their next creation. You can find Medieval Monday on release at any IGT supported casino.
