Is it a car? Is it a plane? No, it's Rizk, the superhero fronted casino! Powered by the same people as behind Guts, Rizk offers players an innovative and quirky casino experience, packed out with hundreds of games, great promotions and a 200% welcome bonus. The site's design is flawless, with a responsive design, bold colours and great graphics. It's a nice change of pace from those formulaic casinos we're used to visiting, but does its great image live up to what's under the hood?

Games

Rizk is powered by MT SecureTrade limited, and whilst this brand isn't such a household name, you may have heard of their other casino, Guts. Guts is one of the biggest sites on the market at the moment, so we were expecting great things from Rizk too.

Luckily, the site delivers and there's almost 300 slots on offer, including titles from software designers such as Microgaming, NetEnt, Betsoft, NextGen and Thunderkick. Rizk's beautifully designed site allows players to find what they're looking for quickly, or to browse by different genres or software providers, or even see what games are trending in their area. Top slots at the site include Twin Spin, Gemix, Esqueleto. Explosivo and The Invisible Man. Of course, on top of these there's classics such as Starburst, Hot as Hades and Arcader.

In addition to great video slots, Rizk also offers players 12 table games, including several versions of roulette and blackjack, and five live casino rooms. There's also an impressive amount of progressive jackpots on offer, including the massive Mega Moolah, Mega Fortune and Hall of Gods.

Bonuses

Rizk Casino are giving all players a helping hand, with a 200% first deposit match bonus up to £100. It's not the biggest welcome bonus we've ever seen to be honest, but it does mean that anything you deposit will be tripled. So, for instance, deposit £50 and you'll receive £150.

The good news is that to qualify for the bonus you only need to deposit as little as £10. The downside, as always, is that the bonus is tied to wagering requirements, and these are set at 45x. The other bad news is that anyone who deposits via Neteller or Skrill is not eligible for the bonus. This is important to consider when selecting your payment method.

Promotions

What they may have lacked in welcome bonuses, Rizk certainly make up for in the way they approach promotions. There's always one active promotion, but on top of this all players will always have a chance to spin 'The Wheel of Rizk'.

They claim that the wheel is 'kind of like the Wheel of Fortune, but about a million times cooler', and we have to say, we think so too!

The Wheel of Rizk works by filling the 'power bar' as you play. Every time you play games at Rizk, you'll be filling up your power bar. The more you wager, the quicker it fills up. Once the power bar has been filled, the wheel is ready to be spun.

In addition, you also 'Level Up', as you reach higher levels, the jackpots and prizes available on the wheel get bigger and better. For every 10th level reached, you'll also get a turn at the 'Super Wheel of Rizk', which doubles all prizes.

So, what does the wheel offer? There's 5 symbols that appear on the wheel, a gold coin, a jackpot symbol, a raffle ticket, three different colours of poker chips, and a skull.

  • The gold coins are self-explanatory really, land on these and Rizk will award you with free cash!
  • The jackpot symbol is also quite straight-forward, land here and you'll claim a jackpot prize.
  • The raffle ticket enters you into a weekly draw, in which prizes can be anything from a holiday abroad to exclusive event tickets.
  • The three coloured poker chips all symbolize free spins; the red gives a few free spins, the blue gives free spins worth £1 each, and the green offers Mega Spins which are worth £3 each.
  • Do we need to explain the significance of the skull symbol? It's not your friend basically. But don't worry, you'll just have to wait for your next spin of the wheel!

Deposits & Withdrawals

Unfortunately, for us, Rizk's banking options seem very limited. Players can deposit via Mastercard, VISA, Skrill or Neteller. It's a shame Rizk hasn't adopted any other payment methods such as a pre-paid card option, mobile billing or PayPal. We hope that as the casino grows their banking department will expand too.

There's a £10 minimum deposit across all methods, and a maximum of £5,000 per transaction.

All banking methods are instant, however only Neteller and Skrill deposits are fee free. For those funding their account via debit/credit card, you will be stung with a 2.5% fee. We're really disappointed by this because for such a innovative site, this seems very backwards. It's been a long time since we've seen a casino charge a transaction fee and it's very off-putting.

Similarly, all withdrawals will be charged with a £2.50 fee too. The minimum withdrawal at the site is £20, and you can cash out via VISA, Neteller, Skrill or bank transfer. Their saving grace is that e-wallet withdrawals are instant, and other methods should take a maximum of 3 days, which is pretty quick by other casino's standards.

Design over Details?

When we visited Rizk for the first time we were taken aback at how beautifully designed the site is. The graphics are second to none, the page is responsive and easy to navigate and we love all the quirky touches, including the unique superhero theme.

We also loved the innovative features like the 'Wheel of Rizk' and the way you can see what slots are trending in your country.

That being said, as we continued to review the site we do have some major issues. Like the transaction fees and the limited customer service. It seems that Rizk have put so much effort into the appearance of their site that they've overlooked some fundamentals which really impact a player's experience.

It's all well and good to have an amazing looking site, but if you can't get the basics right then you'll have a hard time retaining your players. We're really hopeful that Rizk will iron out some of these issues in the future, and looking at the brand's other sites, like Guts, we're sure they will. However, for now it feels like Rizk have put design over details, and that doesn't ever work out in the long run.

Other casinos like Rizk

Spin GenieLike Rizk, Spin Genie is another beautiful designed and innovative site. It's boasted a place in our Top 20 Casinos since it launched and this is because it offers players so much more than your average casino experience.

Players can join in with the Spin Genie Adventure, which takes you on a trip across different lands to gain access to bonus features, mini games and special prizes. If you've loved how easy Rizk is on the eye, Spin Genie is definitely worth visiting too.

SuperLenny
- Not all superheroes wear capes you know. Some of them are tuexdo wearing deers. SuperLenny, fronted by the aforementioned suited mammal himself, is a great new site featuring over 500 slots, a unique design and up to 150 free spins or all new players.

The site also runs beautiful from your handset as their mobile app is responsive and easy to navigate. If you've enjoyed your time at Rizk, head over to SuperLenny for some similar fun.

Conclusion

To be honest, we really love Rizk. Sure, we know it's not without it's issues and some are very crucial to it's success. Let's start on the bad points and mention those transaction fees, the limited banking options and the fact you can't claim your bonus if you deposit via e-wallet. These are all very dissuasive issues and we do hope Rizk can improve in the future.

On the other hand, Rizk is definitely a site with a sense of humour, an eye for the quirky and they've put a lot of effort into how the site looks and operates across devices. Plus, there's that great games roster too. All in all, we think Rizk is definitely worth trying out as a casino like this is few and far between.
