In Pocket Fruity’s own words, Candy Cash is “revolutionary”. There aren’t any reels in this game, instead candies fall into a 9×9 grid. At the same time, it keeps to the spirit of slots – players only hit “Spin”; if 3 or more candies line up, you’ll collect the cash according to the paytable. There are bombs to set off and Feature Games to unlock; it really is packed with excitement. If you haven’t seen our exclusive sneak peeks, you’re definitely missing out. Here’s a quick rundown of the action:
- Match 3 Candies to create a win – the paytable outlines the values for each candy. Squishy gummy bears are the worst, sprinkly-choc-balls are much better.
- Match 4 Candies to create a Dynamite – dynamites clear the whole row/ column
- Match 5 Candies to create a Bomb – bombs explode to clear the whole grid!
- Match a Dynamite with 2 Candies for a Super Bonus
- Match a Bomb with 2 Candies for a Mega Bonus
- Match 3 Silver Stars to unlock the Feature Game and a random Mega Feature Game.
- Match 3 Gold Stars to win the Progressive Jackpot!
Wagers range from 2p to £100, and the largest winning combination grows your cash 50-fold. You could get multiple matches in one spin, either all at once or one after the other. This is because winning candies and bombs make space for new candies. The opportunity for fortune is infinite. Have I mentioned that it’s a progressive jackpot slot?
In my experience, I started with few pounds and left with triple-digits. 😉 I’d estimate that modest wins come by once every 5 spins, while the Feature appears after 10 minutes of playing; this makes it a medium-risk investment for your money.
1 Feature and 3 Mega Features Games!
The Feature Game gives you a chance to take matters into your own hands and increase your winnings. In this game, you’ll swap candies and make matches (or use “Auto Move” if you can’t be bothered). Once you fill the Feature Bar, you’ll be rewarded with one of the three Mega Feature Games. All three are equally desirable with nice multipliers, so which is your favourite?
The Liquorice Wheel of Fortune could multiply your winnings by 4 – 12.5 times. Then, there’s Pick-n-Mix-Pick-a-Win, in which you stick your hand into a candy bag and hope it’s a good one (they’re all good). The Pinata is the most adorable – whack the poor fellar until the prize is revealed (x8 multiplier). Aw, he little monster squeals as you hit it too! Watch the video above to see these in action.
Faultless. The game runs smoothly on my PC and mobile phone, the colours are vibrant. The candies look good enough to eat and the little monster is adorable! If I had to pick on something, it’d be the annoying sound of candies falling again and again. Since I refuse to put the game away, I muted the sound instead.
You haven’t played anything like it.
There are loaaaads of sweet games out there (Fizz Factory and Sweet Treats, to name a few.) These are just ordinary games with sugar-coated graphics. Candy Cash has rewritten the rules and introduced new twists. Like last month’s release of Cop the Cash 2, Candy Cash reminds us of Pocket Fruity’s innovative prowess. Have you tried the Feature Trails of Dribbly Dribbly Dosh?
The makers of Candy Crush, King should take a leaf out of Pocket Fruity’s book and mix up their games a little. There’s Farm Heroes Saga, Papa Pear, Pepper Panic, Pet Rescue AND Diamond Digger; all of which are symbol-swapping games that cost money and reward nothing. Ugh.
Although Pocket Fruity has brought in games by Realistic Games lately (all of which are brilliant games in their own right), it is their home-grown creations that we love the most. Candy Cash is fun to play and more importantly, brings home real cash. As always, comment and let us know if you enjoyed it as much as we did.
